ABOUT

Hello, my name is Ray Saraceni. I’m an illustrator and woodworker currently based in Western Pennsylvania (originally from Westchester New York), with a BFA in illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology. While I find myself most comfortable with a gouache pallet and a sketchbook, my art covers a large variety of media, styles and subject matter, which makes me a very adaptable illustrator and creator. My work has been featured in RIT’s juried art show known as the Charette, as well as in the Virtual Global Learning Symposium.

Since I was very young I’ve been interested in the natural world, which has proven to be an everlasting inspiration for my art. Much of my personal work is based around this love, as well as my other outdoor hobbies such as bird watching, hiking and foraging. My ultimate goal for my personal work is for it to act as a tool of communication between humans and nature and to encourage the fact that environmental stewardship for everyone.
